主要用于煤矿、金属矿和非金属的竖井，作提升煤、矿场升降人员、下放物料、设备等，主要适用于深井。执行标准为 AQ1036、Q/GK03、GB /T10599 及《煤矿安全规程》。塔式多绳摩擦提升机是把整套提升机整体安装在井塔的最上一层，其优点是：紧凑省地、可省去天轮，全部载荷垂直向下，井塔稳定性好，可获得较大包角，钢丝绳不致暴露在外，影响摩擦系数和钢丝绳的使用寿命。
